As a coach and tutor, I was able to work one-on-one with a student

EPATT focuses on bringing in underrepresented children and giving them the tools they need to succeed in life. As an after-school program, they hope to target kids who may be falling behind and provide them with the necessary boost to enroll in post-secondary education. EPATT understands the importance of focused teaching, and each tutor receives training on their student's needs so that each lesson can be impactful. EPATT also works on the physical fitness of students, teamwork and team building by incorporating tennis into the curriculum.

I helped a middle schooler who was a little behind in reading. He was an avid learner and would do his best to catch up but would lose motivation outside of school hours. I taught him reading techniques, active listening skills and other comprehension-based lessons to help him excel. Beyond that, I also helped run general tennis sessions where I'd run drills and tennis practice with the coaches.
